Hotel Pacific is a 3 star hotel located in Cipro, a quiet residential area of Rome close to The Vatican City. We stayed here for only one night but it had everything we needed. I don’t like to spend money on extravagant hotels in cities since I only spend a few hours in the hotel and the rest out exploring. I have visited Rome many times but this was the first time I had stayed outside the real tourist center.
Hotel Pacific is a 5 minute walk from the Metro (one the red main line) that connects you with the Vatican City in one stop, Spanish Steps, the Colosseum & the main train station. You can easily be in the center of Rome in under 10 minutes and the Metro runs fairly late otherwise there are night buses. The benefit of Hotel Pacific is that it has off street parking which was a bonus for us since we had a large 7 seater car and it would be impossible for us to park on the street.
Our double room was on the second floor opposite the elevator. The room is quite small but big enough for the two of us, with a small en-suite. We had a good nights rest here, we didn’t hear the noise from the elevator or from the street below.
The staff were friendly and smiley and we were checked in quickly. The front staff member was kind enough to direct us to the Metro and offer a map. The staff at breakfast were also very friendly and quick on service.
We would stay at Hotel Pacific Rome again. Overall it was clean, friendly and was all we needed for one night since we spent most of the night out in the center of Rome. The doors close around midnight but there was a staff member to let us in during the early hours of the morning.
We paid €84.15 which we thought was a lot for a hotel that wasn’t directly in the center but it did include parking and breakfast so it wasn’t too bad of value for money.
